 Evening PrimrosePositive qualities:
Awareness and healing of painful early emotions absorbed from the mother; ability to open emotionally and form deep, committed relationships.
Patterns of imbalance:
Feeling rejected, unwanted; avoidance of commitment in relationships, fear of parenthood; sexual and emotional repression.
The soul is most open, and receives its first impression of life on Earth, while in utero or in
very early infancy. At this time it is more of a moon-like being than a sun-being, receiving and
reflecting the soul light of the parents, especially the mother. These early experiences of light
and love are as formative for emotional development as proper nutrition is for the physical fetus.
If
the soul is neglected or abused while in utero or in very early infancy, a profound and deeply unconscious
feeling of pain and rejection resides in the individual. Such persons feel unwanted and often cope
by avoiding deep emotional contact or bonding; they retain a moon-like coldness in their souls and
are unable to radiate warmth and love from their own center.
